For the fifth year in a row, Mapgears’ team will be present at the OSGeo North American Code Sprint that will take place in Boston MA, USA on March 25-28, 2013.

Loyal to the job, Daniel and Alan will again participate in the development and discussions targeting the MapServer and GDAL/OGR projects.

Code Sprint goals

The developers working on the Free and Open Source software that you use do so from their local community accross the world. Once a year, the North American community meets to facilitate the long-term planning of new features, share their findings and discuss modern trends in the world of geomatics.

More importantly, it is a unique opportunity for these people to meet each other in person, be it for the first time or not, and strengthen relationships both on professional and personal levels through the Sprint and the social events organized each evening.

As Daniel puts it: “The best decisions are made around a cold beer!
