Mapgears is going to be at the OSGeo's New York Code Sprint 2010 which will take place from February 20th to 23th 2010. Daniel and Alan will participate in the development and discussions targeting the GDAL/OGR and MapServer projects. |

Mapgears' team was at the FOSS4G2009 which was held in Sydney, Australia from October 20th to 23th. Julien participated to a presentation on the new project GeoPrisma (presentation can be found here). Daniel among other things, took part in the presentation of the MapServer Project Status Report. Finally, Daniel was honored with the Sol Katz Award, in recognition of his exceptional service to the Open Source Geospatial Community. |

Mapgears was at OSGeo's Toronto Code Sprint 2009 which took place from March 7th to 10th. Daniel, Julien and Alan will participated in the development and discussions targeting the GDAL/OGR and MapServer projects. |

Mapgears moved into its new offices at the beginning of February. We are now located at 345, rue des Saguenéens, suite 280. We are still in Chicoutimi, QC. |

Mapgears was at FOSS4G2008 that took place in Cape Town, South Africa, from September 29 to October 3, 2008. Julien-Samuel Lacroix gave a workshop on Fusion. |

Mapgears was at Vision Géomatique 08 in Saguenay on June 4-5, 2008. Daniel Morissette delivered a presentation introducing open source software and the OSGeo Foundation. Finally, a meeting took place on June 4th to discuss the coordination of OSGeo's presence in Quebec and was a great success. |

Mapgears was at the OSGeo Boot Camp in Ottawa on June 2-3, 2008. Julien-Samuel Lacroix delivered a presentation with Paul Spencer on Getting Started with OpenLayers. |

Mapgears was at the Géo-événement 2008 in Paris on April 8-10, 2008. Mapgears had a booth as part of the Open Source Village organized by the Francophone Chapter of the OSGeo Foundation. Daniel Morissette also participated in a panel titled "From the genesis of MapServer to the consolidation of the Open Source community". |
